Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. And Abhimanyu Rathor Vs. State of H.P. & Ors. dated 01/09/2015 regarding vehicular pollution in the eco-sensitive area of Rohtang Pass.

The Tribunal in its Order directed the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) to provide CNG buses to the State and the State of Himachal Pradesh will take the CNG Buses and will also take all steps immediately to ensure that CNG Buses arrive at Kullu without further delay.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. And Abhimanyu Rathor Vs. State of H.P. & Ors. dated 19/08/2015 to ensure that there is no vehicular pollution in the eco-sensitive area of Rohtang Pass.

It is stated on behalf of the State of Himachal Pradesh that the State is making every effort to implement the directions passed by the Tribunal particularly in relation to the plying of CNG buses from Vashishtha to Rohtang Pass.

The Counsel appearing for the State has informed that trial of CNG Buses at Rohtang Pass has been successful. They have planned to introduce CNG buses for regular operation from Vashist to Rohtang Pass. 

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Yog Raj V/s State of Himanchal Pradesh & Ors. dated 30/07/2015 regarding damage caused to the houses of the Applicants because of construction (especially tunnel) and other project activities carried out by the Project Proponent in the Parbati – Stage-II Hydroelectric Project, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. dated 06/07/2015 regarding pollution at Rohtang Pass.

The Tribunal has noted with serious concern that there is complete chaos at the Rohtang Pass and its adjacent glaciers, which, as per the statement made by the experts afore referred to, are reducing by 19 - 20 meters per year. The snow at Solang, Rohtang Pass and Bias Kund is being blackened.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Before the Principal Bench - Circuit Bench at Shimla) in the matter of Gram Panchayat, Tutu Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 19/05/2015 regarding proper collection and disposal of the municipal solid waste.

The Tribunal directed the Secretary Environment, State of Himachal Pradesh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation and Member Secretary, PCB to examine if there is any site near the plant which can be utilised, at least temporarily, for the purpose of dumping of waste which is neither compostable nor can be converted into RDF.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Court on its Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. dated 09/03/2015 regarding cutting of 200 trees near the Tara Devi Temple, Shimla. The Court in its order directed the State of Himachal Pradesh and Forest Department to submit the complete plan of reforestation in terms of the earlier order of the Tribunal on the next date of hearing.
