Counsel appearing for State of Himachal Pradesh submits that policy decision have been taken by the State Government to establish a plant and Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board has been asked to conduct study and submit DPR through the concerned department.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Abhimanyu Rathor Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 19/09/2017 regarding degradation of environment and receding of the glaciers at Rohtang Pass. The Counsel appearing for the Applicant prays for time to file the Scheme for Rehabilitation (after the NGT ban on commercial activities and restrictions on the number of vehicles plying for tourists) in relation to house owners, taxis, particularly, diesel taxis, partial rehabilitation and incentive program for the people involved in tourism activities in these areas.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushma Bisht Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 09/08/2017 regarding municipal solid waste management at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The Deputy Commissioner, Mandi submits before the Tribunal that the matter in relation to municipal solid waste, landfill and plant at Mandi are being taken up by all concerned authorities with utmost seriousness and certain finances have also been received by him. NGT grants time by way of last opportunity.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on Its Own Motion Versus State of Himachal Pradesh dated 01/08/2017 regarding large scale illegal felling of trees near Tara Devi Temple, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The trees were of Deodar and Oak and were on a private property adjoining to Tara Devi temple, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Further, it was reported in the newspaper that cutting of the trees was without prior permission of the authorities.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 21/07/2017 regarding degradation of environment and receding of the glaciers at Rohtang Pass, Himachal Pradesh. National Green Tribunal directed the Himachal Pradesh government to file an affidavit stating the number of taxis operating in Kulu and Manali under the different associations as well as a status report on the ropeway project on the Manali-Rohtang road.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sarav Shikshit Evam Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 18/07/217 regarding damage to public health caused because of the cement plant in the Bilaspur area of Himachal Pradesh. Secretary, State of Himachal Pradesh submits that the Government has entered into a dialogue with the PGI, Public Health Department for conducting proper research to substantiate the damage caused by the cement plant.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Yogendra Mohan Sengupta Vs. Union of India & Others dated 12/07/2017 regarding construction activities in the city of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The Court expresses its displeasure at the delay of the Himachal Pradesh Government to file their response/objections to the report submitted before the Tribunal. NGT grants final opportunity to the State of Himachal Pradesh to submit its response/objections, if any, additional or otherwise.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushma Bisht Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 06/07/2017 regarding municipal solid waste at Solan, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh as well as with regard to unauthorized constructions carried out within the High Flood Line on river Beas and other waterbodies.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Girdhari Lal Vs. State & Others dated 03/06/2017 regarding M/s. Devdham Café restaurant being run near river Beas. The restaurant has obtained necessary permissions for running it as well as necessary infrastructure for disposal of MSW. NGT directs the Municipal Board to submit report with regard to the compliance made by the restaurant and further operation will be subject to report of the Municipal Board.
