To extend the green cover in and around Udhampur town, the district police , in collaboration with the Forest Department and the Civil Defence Organisation, Udhampur, launched a sapling plantation drive at Government College for Women (GCW) here today.

Pesticides manufacturer Insecticides (India) Limited would commission its new plant at Udhampur near Jammu by August this year. The facility is coming up at an investment of Rs 5 crore.
