Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahesh Chandra Saxena Vs. SDMC and Others dated 03/11/2016 regarding faulty design of the Rain Water Harvesting System installed by SDMC (South Delhi Municipal Corporation).

SDMC contends that the design of the RWHS is as per the design approved by the Committee constituted by the High Court and therefore they cannot make any alteration. National Green Tribunal notes that SDMC is virtually taking a refuge on the ground that the design of the RWHS is approved by the Committee but we do not find any such material on record.

Union of India & Others dated 03/06/2016 regarding water harvesting in Delhi. National Green Tribunal directs the NCT, Delhi, Central Ground Water Authority and Delhi Jal Board to clean, maintain and restore all the bodies, natural wells and baodies and other water bodies which are in existence in NCT of Delhi, within three weeks from today.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikrant Kumar Tongad Vs. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. dated 28/04/2016 regarding installation of rain water harvesting systems in hotels of Delhi. Local Commissioner has filed the report. On inspection it was found that the IBIS Hotel has installed two Rain Water Harvesting Systems and both are similar in design and the said design is the approved design as per the CGWA. The report further shows that the Rain Water Harvesting Systems are in good and clean condition, are satisfactory and are as per the approved design.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikrant Kumar Tongad Vs. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. dated 03/03/2016 regarding operation of rain water harvesting system in M/s ABW Infrastructure Ltd.

NGT directs M/s ABW Infrastructure Ltd to pay an environmental compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs and observed that "the rain water harvesting system is not made operative till day and in fact permission for installation of rain water harvesting system was also not obtained, except there is a technical approval of the design".
