Grievance in this application was against unscientific dumping of waste at main road of village Changipur, district Bijnor by the Municipal Council, Noorpur. The waste included carcasses which was resulting in foul and obnoxious smell and also air and land pollution. The question for consideration was compliance of the order of the Surpeme Court September 23, 2013 for shifting of industrial activities in residential areas in the State of Uttar Pradesh for protection of environment.

Response to report by Akash Vashistha to report dated August 25, 2020 submitted by the District Magistrate, Mathura. The matter related to construction of a metalled road taking place in the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan along with other permanent illegal constructions. The road was used to facilitate illegal reclamation of floodplains. The construction of this road was leading to dumping of malba and debris on the ghats (Cheer Ghat, Govind Ghat and Bhramar Ghat). This had caused irreparable damage to the Ghats and obstructing the natural flow of the river.

The issue for consideration was the remedial action against unscientific dumping of solid waste in village Ganwri on the bank of river Kaali, creating health hazard.
