Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Tanner India Vs Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 05/09/2018 regarding closure order under Section 33(A) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Inspection was carried out on 24.05.2018 by the ITT, BHU and it was found that in the sample of effluent, chromium quantity was 10.28 mg per/liter, in excess of the laid down standards.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s N.G. Textiles Vs. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board dated 05/09/2018. This appeal has been preferred against the order of the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board dated 03.08.2018, directing the appellant to close the industrial process of the industry. The impugned order states that sample of effluent was collected at the time of inspection by a Joint Committee and the sample was found to be having mercury beyond the prescribed limit. According to the appellant, no mercury is used, as such, in its activities.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 28/08/2018 regarding Taj Trapezium Zone. Supreme Court held discussion with Meenakshi Dhote, who is the Professor of Environmental Planning, DSPA and Project Coordinator of Vision Document asked her to approach the Court for any assistance. With respect to declaring Agra as a heritage city, ASG has informed the Court that a communication in this regard has been sent to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to send a proposal for declaring Agra as a heritage city.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Tanseer Ahmad Vs. M/s Alnoor Exports & Others dated 24/08/2018 regarding a slaughter house and meat processing unit in Muzaffar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh operating in violation of environmental laws. According to the Applicant the unit is emitting foul smell and discharging animal wastes into the drain in the area. It has not installed antipollution device for treatment of the effluents. The permitted land use, as per Master Plan, is for agriculture. The said unit is also extracting ground water illegally.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 21/08/2018 regarding illegal mining in Choursil Reserve Forest, Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. The issue raised by the mining lease holder is that the mining lease area and the boundaries of the Choursil Reserve Forest, Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh are required to be demarcated.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kaushambi Apartments Residents Welfare Association (KARWA) Vs. U.P. Pollution Control Board & Others dated 20/08/2018. The matter relates to pollution on account of vehicular emissions, illegal parking, encroachment of road and pavements, use of diesel generators in violation of CPCB standards in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
