Order of the Delhi High Court regarding capping of HRCT test, Delhi, 31/05/2021
Order of the High Court of Delhi in the matter of Shivleen Pasricha Vs National Capital Territory of Delhi & Others dated 31/05/2021.
A public interest litigation (PIL) was filed requesting for the regulation/capping the rate of High-Resolution Computerised Tomography (HRCT) test/ scan in the state of National Capital Territory of Delhi, specifically for patients having COVID-19 symptoms.
Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the price / rate of HRCT Test has been capped in the government hospitals at Delhi whereas there is no regulation or capping in the private hospitals and the rates are varying from hospital to hospital and are on the higher side.
The court directed the concerned authorities to treat the petition "as a representation and decide the same in accordance with law, rules, regulations and government policies, applicable to the facts of the case".
