Order of the Supreme Court of India regarding keeping middle seats vacant in flights amid COVID-19 pandemic, 25/05/2020
Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Union of India & Others Vs Deven Yogesh Kanani & Others dated 25/05/2020.
The Supreme Court allowed Air India to assign middle seats to passengers on non-scheduled flights till June 6, 2020 to rescue people stranded in foreign countries due to COVID-19 pandemic. After that Air India would operate non-scheduled flights in accordance with the interim order to be passed by the Bombay High Court. The order came in the wake of the Bombay High Court order on May 22 asking Air India to operate flights keeping the middle seats vacant
