Following the Bombay High Court’s stay on usage of the Kanjurmarg landfill for dumping municipal solid waste, the civic administration claimed wrong evidence was produced in court during the trials.

According to Additional Municipal Commissioner Mohan Adtani, who gave the BMC’s explanation on the judgment on standing committee chairman Rahul Shewale’s request, the landfill area does not fall under the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ).
