Leopard attacks, trapping rekindle man-animal conflict debate
Recent leopard attacks in the city and capture of a third leopard from Aarey Colony this week have rekindled the man-animal conflict debate.
Under pressure after three attacks this month, the Thane forest department captured a third leopard, a male, at around 8.30 pm on Monday. Same day morning they had captured a female and another male two days before that. All animals were captured in Maroshi pada in Aarey Colony, where a 50-year-old woman was killed on November 2.
