MUMBAI: Dumping grounds that evoke images of stench, smoke and mountains of garbage will soon undergo a makeover. The grounds as well as the solid waste are being eyed as potential sources of energy.

The National Building Construction Corporation has asked the state government to identify dump yards across the state that can serve as ideal grounds for solar and bio-mass energy.
