The much anticipated Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) that was proposed for the city in December 2006 is finally moving forward, though only in the form of a preliminary feasibility report. Mumbai can expect an elevated corridor bus lane at the centre of the road, suggested by consultants after an eight-month study.
