More than 1,000 motor vehicle owners had lodged complaints with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) regarding their vehicle engines that had been damaged after using the low quality petrol, the Petroleum Minister said yesterday.

Minister Premajayantha said vehicle owners would be compensated after a special committee, which would be appointed to evaluate the complaints completed its work.
