To find an approach to underground drinking water management through statistical regression analysis of various water quality parameters, the correlation analysis of eight data point of water of different IM2 handpumps at Moradabad was performed.

Gagan river water at ten different sites in and around Moradabad were collected and analysed quantitatively following standard methods for twenty two physcio-chemical parameters. The estimated values were compared with water quality standards. The river water is found to be severely polluted with reference to these analysed parameters.

Underground drinking water samples of IM2 hand pumps at twelve different sites at Moradabad were collected and analysed for physico-chemical water quality parameters following standard methodology of sampling and estimation to assess underground aquatic contamination at Moradabad. The estimated values were compared with drinking water quality standards prescribed by W.H.O.

Ten different trace metals in Gagan river water at thirteen different sites in and around Moradabad were estimated by ICP-AES technique and the data was compared with water quality standards prescribed by WHO. River was found to be excessively contaminated for copper, iron, lead concentrations and moderately contaminated for nickel and cadmium.
