The municipal solid waste (MSW) generated from different activities from various localities and a township in city areas is subject of deep concern for its proper management. The improper management of MSW is a major cause of air pollution. Present research deals with air quality parameter like SPM, RSPM, SO2 and NO2 in surrounding areas of MSW dump site Maihar district, Satna (M.P.).

Environmental pollution study was undertaken in the stone crushers of Chitrakoot area, U.P., to assess the dust exposure risk in stone crushers. The stone available in the area is igneous rock based granite.

In the present work water quality indices of Mandakini river, Chitrakoot have been determined on the basis of various water quality parameters for 3 seasons, namely post-monsoon and winter at 6 sampling sites.
