Environmental pollution study was undertaken in the stone crushers of Chitrakoot area, U.P., to assess the dust exposure risk in stone crushers. The stone available in the area is igneous rock based granite.

Fluoride concentration in rocks and soil are well documented, but data on the F concentration in coal are limited. In present paper, fluoride were monitored in rain water during rainy season at 7 location of Singrauli region in 2004.

In last few years, Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh has been identified as endemic fluorosis affected region where a number of such cases have been reported in 18 villages. The study was undertaken to determine the severeness of the problem, for this a dental fluorosis survey of school students, monitoring of drinking water sources and awareness programme were conducted in the Jhiragadandi Naibasti village.

Due to rapid growth of population and industrialization and urbanization there is a substantial increase in hospital and private nursing home as well as pathology labs in Satna. Thus the hospital waste is also increasing day by day.
