The applicant, Pradeep Kumar Singh has also submitted that the blasting activities carried out have also caused damage to the houses.

Grievance in the application is against Shah Sponge Iron & Power Ltd., Khaparsar Juri (Hata), situated in East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand which is causing water pollution (as dust particles are found in water bodies), air pollution (as the dust covers the surface of cultivable land as well as on the leaves of the trees planted by the company and grassland) and is also adversely affecting the biodiversity of the area and also the health of the nearby residents.
