Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Girdhari Lal Vs. State & Others dated 03/06/2017 regarding M/s. Devdham Café restaurant being run near river Beas. The restaurant has obtained necessary permissions for running it as well as necessary infrastructure for disposal of MSW. NGT directs the Municipal Board to submit report with regard to the compliance made by the restaurant and further operation will be subject to report of the Municipal Board.

Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of the Punjab Termination of Agreement Act 2004 regarding sharing of Ravi-Beas river waters dated 10/11/2016.

Supreme Court in its Order said the Agreement (dated 31st December, 1981 about sharing of waters of Ravi and Beas rivers) "could not have been unilaterally terminated by one of the parties and if any party or any State does so such unilateral action of a particular State has to be declared contrary to the Constitution of India as well as the provisions of the Inter State Water Disputes Act, 1956. "

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Girdhari Lal Vs. State & Others dated 26/08/2016 regarding M/s. Devdham Café restaurant being run right on the river bed of Beas. Photographs have been placed on record to show that there are a large number of vehicles parked near the river bed which are buses and cars which have been parked just adjacent to the river bed and the hotel itself appears to be in the flood plain. The hotel is operating without consent of the Pollution Control Board.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion & Others Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 19/08/2016 regarding setting up a plant for municipal solid waste and STP in the Beas river bed. NGT in its order noted that the sites are not even one meter away from the river stream. In fact they are almost touching the water of the river.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Girdhari Lal Vs. State & Others dated 04/08/2016 regarding constructions on the river bed of Beas, Himachal Pradesh. NGT directs the State of Himachal Pradesh to submit before the court on how hotel M/s. Devdham Café is being run right on the river bed of Beas.
