Bhopal, Aug 10:

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is partnering
with 732 advanced locality managements (ALMs) in the city to help curb the
malaria menace.

On Wednesday, the civic body issued circulars asking all
ALMs to assist the BMC by detecting mosquito-breeding sites in their wards.

Parivar avam Bal Utthan Samiti, Barkheda Pathani, on Friday held a meeting in its regional office to discuss immersions of idols coated with chemicals in water bodies.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today filed an appeal in the District and Sessions court against the verdict of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on the Bhopal gas tragedy case delivered on June 7 this year.

The appeal was filed by CBI in the court of District and Sessions Judge Subhash Kakde under Crminal Procedure Code Section 377.
