Air pollution is a major concern of now days. It is caused by many gaseous as well as particulate pollutants. The ground level O3 and SPM (PM2.5) are the two essential sources which can fluctuates the quality of ambient air in the atmosphere. The diurnal average of O3 and PM2.5 of the year 2014 reflected the annual and seasonal variations throughout the year. The correlation between O3 and PM2.5 shows maximum fluctuating concentration in the month of December with positive correlation (r=0.1886).

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Paryavaran Avam Manav Adhikar Sanrakshan Samiti Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/03/2014 regarding pollution in river Gaur which merges into the river Narmada. It was alleged by the Applicant that in the city of Jabalpur on the banks of river Gaur which merges into the river Narmada at Village Jamtara a dairy hub has been developed and thousands of cattle and buffalos are being maintained in these dairies in the aforesaid area.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kamta Saini Vs Union of India & Others dated 25/09/2013 regarding establishment of a petrol pump adjoining a tank by the name “Adhartal” in the city of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and that in case the aforesaid petrol pump is commissioned, the water of the tank shall be polluted as a result of discharge and flow of water and other material like petrol, diesel, oil,
etc. from the petrol pump into the lake.

BHOPAL: The Centre has sanctioned Rs 28 crore for Kamla Park flyover and Rs 27 crore for the completion of the BRTS construction work, including the Habibganj rail over-bridge, a government spokesperson said on Thursday.

In all, Rs 192 crore was sanctioned after a meeting of urban administration and development minister Babulal Gaur and Union urban development minister Kamalnath in New Delhi on Thursday. Kamalnath sanctioned four schemes worth Rs 192 crore for Bhopal's development. Gaur also discussed pending JNNURM projects of Indore and Jabalpur. Kamalnath said the city development projects would also be sanctioned soon, according to the spokesperson.
