As many as 329 villages have been electrified during the 10th Five Years Plan and in last three years of the 11th Five Years Plan in Madhya Pradesh. During the period, 11 thousand 415 electrified villages have been intensively electrified and electricity lines have been laid upto all the majaras and tolas there.
With a view to implementing Nandan Orchard scheme under National Horticulture Mission, ten districts have been selected in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, around hundred beneficiaries will be selected for imparting training to them.

The farmers in Madhya Pradesh are feeling devastated and over a half-a-dozen of them have even committed suicide in a short span of time in different parts of the state.
In the last one month, farmers have committed suicide in villages across Bhopal, Sehore, Chhindwara, Damoh, and Sagar districts.
Bhopal: Their crops destroyed by frost between January 5 and 9, five farmers in Madhya Pradesh committed suicide while three are battling for their lives after consuming pesticide.
Notification for the constitution of Satpura Tiger Reserve buffer zone has been issued today. The notification has been issued after the recommendations of committee of experts and discussions with all Gram Sabha (villages).
There are 55 Gram Sabha (villages) under the buffer zone.
Bhopal: A sum of Rs 105 crore 85 lakh 84 thousand was spent in first six months of current financial year under Ladli Laxmi Yojna that aims at securing the future of girls in the State. Rs 134 crore 94 lakh, 93 thousand was allocated for first and second quarters under the scheme.
Keeping in view the possible capital investment on a massive scale in industrial sector in the next few years, the State Government have launched the work of infrastructure development of international level in Madhya Pradesh. For this, new industrial growth centres are proposed to be set up in eight districts of the state.
