At least 12 people have died of cholera, and over 60 others are suffering from diarrhea in towns of middle Jubba region, southern Somalia this week, health ministry confirmed Saturday.

THE number of cholera cases in Lusaka Province has risen to 745 since the waterborne disease broke out in the first week of February.

The cholera count has hit 585 across the country as the Ministry of Health tries to arrest the situation.

Cholera has killed 320 people and infected over 20,000 in Tanzania since the outbreak erupted in August last year, the health minister said on Monday.

THE number of cholera cases in Lusaka has reached 528 since the disease broke out in February, provincial medical officer Kennedy Malama has said.

The director of health services in the ministry of health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has warned the public against eating contaminated food to avoid cholera.

At least 216 people have died and close to 13,000 others admitted following a cholera outbreak that has affected more than half of the country.

Mbale — Authorities in Mbale District have expressed concern over the rising cases of cholera.

ATHI RIVER deputy county commissioner Kodeck Makori has announced a cholera outbreak in Athi River town.

He addressed a public baraza in the town on Wednesday.
