SEVEN different companies located in and around the Kattupalli desalination plant near Minjur have promised to recruit 1,750 traditional fishermen from 15 hamlets, who lost their livelihood in the face of massive industrialisation.
DEJECTED over the State gover nment's unfulfilled promise, fishermen living in 15 hamlets near Kattupalli have planned the show black flags to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi during his visit to launch the desalination plant at Minjur on July 31.
