Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained disrupted for more than 12 hours due to landslides at four places between Udhampur and Ramban. Over 1,000 vehicles, including some buses and taxis, remained stranded there throughout the night.

Ranchi, June 30: National highways passing through Maoist dominated corridors of Jharkhand are set to get a major facelift, courtesy a Rs 750-crore plan approved by the Union ministry of road transport and highways.

Pune: One person was killed and seven others, including two children, were injured following a landslide near Khandala ghat section of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in the wee hours of Monday.

The mishap took place near Adoshi tunnel, a part of Baur village ghat section, some 52 kms from Pune.

New Delhi: Road transport and highways ministry has designed a draft model concession agreement (MCA) for the four-laning of national highways on build-operate-transfer (BOT) annuity mode. The move comes on the back of claims by ministry officials that the current MCA governing national highways needs to be tweaked for BOT annuity projects even as it is suitable for BOT toll projects.

Only four days are left for the Centre to take a final decision on executing the Hazaribagh-Ranchi four-lane project worth over Rs 600 crore, even as its bids were decided on February 27.
