The Bombay High Court (HC) today declined to interfere with a directive of the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) asking Lavasa Corporation to stop construction at its multi-crore township in Pune district, pending hearing of a showcause notice.

Lavasa is a hill city being developed by Lavasa Corporation Ltd sprawled over 25,000 acres in the Sahyadri Hills of the Western Ghats, near Pune.
