New Delhi: Considering the major discrepancies in the lease sketches of six Obulapuram mines, including three belonging to the Reddy brothers in the Bellary Reserved Forest Area, the Survey of India (SoI) has told the Supreme Court that the entire lease sketches should be reviewed and no mining allowed during the demarcation work.

Officials of the mining, forest and revenue departments were colluding with illegal mining operators in the district, Tapal Ganesh, himself a mining company owner, has alleged.

Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Ganesh said the officials were not discharging their duties according to law, but were acting at the behest of a minister. He demanded suspension of such officials.

''Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Reddy brothers and Opposition Leader in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj would land up in jail, if a CBI inquiry was conducted into the mining scam,'' said Legislative Council Opposition former leader V S Ugrappa.
