नैशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (एनजीटी) ने गंगा में गंदगी बहाने वाली इंडस्ट्रीज के खिलाफ सख्त रुख बरकरार रखा है। ट्रिब्यूनल ने सेंट्रल पल्यूशन कंट्रोल बोर्ड (सीपीसीबी) के अधिकारी को उत्तर प्रदेश पल्यूशन कंट्रोल बोर्ड (यूपीपीसीबी) और नैशनल गंगा रिवर बेसिन अथॉरिटी के साथ मिलकर उन सभी 956 इंडस्ट्रीज का निरीक्षण करने का निर्देश दिया है, जिन्हें बोर्ड की रिपोर्ट में पल्यूटिंग यूनिट के तौर पर अंकित किया गया है। ट्रिब्यूनल ने कमिटी को कई और मुद्दों पर जांच करने के बाद रिपोर्ट बेंच को सौंपने का निर्देश दिया है।
