The NGT directed the Fishery Department to see to it that banned categories of fishes are not being cultured or developed in village Chandlai, tehsil Chaksu, district Jaipur, Rajasthan. Grievance in the application is against proposed Sambhar festival between 17 – 19 February, 2023 at Sambhar Lake near Jaipur. This will involve activities like kite flying, paragliding, motorcycle expedition. According to the applicant such activities will adversely affect migratory birds and natural habitat of the lake which is a Ramsar site, particularly on account of use of loudspeakers.

Representatives of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and M/s Ansu Engineering visited the Activated Sludge Process based 30 MLD STP plant of Jaipur Development Authority established at village Gajadharpura, Kalwar, Jaipur and collected the samples from inlet, outlet, final discharge point and water flowing in river Bandi (the final discharge point of treated sewage).

The matter related to violation of conditions of environment clearance (EC) granted for mining of minor minerals taking place around villages Shuklavas, Pichani, Pavana, Bhuchara and Dhudhawas, tehsil Katputli, district Jaipur, Rajasthan. Around 15 mines are carrying out unscientific and environmentally harmful mining around the villages.
