Almost a year ago, the Ashok Gehlot government in the state enforced a blanket ban on the use of plastic bags in the state. The move was much appreciated and welcomed.

The Rajasthan Government is constructing over 10,600 houses under 15 housing schemes as part of affordable housing policy at a cost of Rs.363 crore this year. The construction work is in progress at Jaipur, Chaksu, Bhiwadi, Kuchaman and Dausa.

Final touches being given in to draft document in Rajasthan
A draft document on integrated solid waste management through door-to-door garbage collection, transport, processing and cleaning in ten major towns of Rajasthan will shortly be submitted for approval to the State Government.

The State Urban Development Department is presently giving final touches to the document.
