A proposal has been sent to the government seeking a special grant of Rs 25.75 lakh towards giving compensation to the endosulfan-affected individuals of Nidle, Kokkada and Patrame villages in Belthangady taluk.

Police arrested two persons and seized leopard and deer pelts worth Rs 5 lakh.
