Rejoinder filed by Dr. Anupkrishnan V to common counter affidavit of respondent 4 and 5 ( M/s Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. and M/s Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, Chennai). The matter related to the alleged violation of environmental clearance (EC) in the construction of Prestige Bella Vista.  

Written submission by Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation Trust in appeal no. 14 of 2020.

The matter related to environmental clearance granted to gas based combined cycle power plant. The project site is located in the vicinity of Puttenahalli lake, Bengaluru north taluk, Yelahanka Hobli and the lake is part of Yelamallappa Chetty series of lakes in Bengaluru. The Puttenahalli lake is declared as a 'Bird Conservation Reserve' under section 36-A of the Wildlife Act 1972 by the government of Karnataka, April 29, 2015.

The matter related to grant of mining leases without preparation of District Survey Report (DSR) as per the Sustainable Sand Management Guidelines (SSMG), 2016 and the Enforcement & Monitoring Guidelines for Sand Mining (EMGSM), 2020 in the district Banda, Uttar Pradesh. It is stated that an advertisement dated February 8, 2021 was issued for grant of mining leases without replenishment and carrying capacity studies.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Tribunal on its own Motion Vs Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change & Others dated 09/11/2020. The matter relates to remedial action against pollution by use of fire crackers aggravating the menace of Covid-19 pandemic, posing higher danger to the lives and health of the vulnerable groups.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mehdad & Others Vs Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change & Others dated 28/09/2020. This application was filed by the state of Goa seeking extension of time for finalizing Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP). The matter was getting delayed for a long time. The NGT said that repeated extensions were given earlier.

The court was informed that the delay was due to National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM).
