NGT on finding that the construction of sanitary landfill is stuck in administrative wrangle and is awaiting technical sanction from Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) directs Chief Engineer, Maharashtra Jeevan Pardhikaran to expeditiously dispose off the proposal submitted for construction of landfill.

NGT restrains the Respondents (Pune Municipal Corporation & Others) from constructing any roads, Metro or structures of any other type on Prohibited Zone inside Blue Line in the river bed of Mula Mutha within the limits of Pune Municipal Corporation till the next date (25/01/2017).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shailesh Singh V/s. Hotel Holiday Regency, Moradabad & Ors. dated 23/12/2016 regarding groundwater extraction by hotels in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Respondents submitted before National Green Tribunal that they will be presenting a chart giving data of water consumed per day in relation to the standard utilities in respective Hotels.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sukhdev Vihar Residents Welfare Association & Ors. Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 23/12/2016. According to the Counsel appearing for the South Delhi Municipal Corporation they are entitled to 6.14% on revenue sharing basis for power generation (waste to energy plant) from the date of plant commissioned for power generation. However, according to the Project Proponent they are liable to pay 3% of the revenue sharing for power generation eight years from the date of commencement.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Elephant Energy Private Limited Vs. Municipal Corporation Shimla dated 16/12/2016 regarding setting up of municipal solid waste plant in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. NGT directs the Applicant (Elephant Energy Private Limited) to set up plant and make it operative in all respect.
