The matter related to dumping of solid waste in the trenching ground at AB road, near Sanskriti Royal Park Colony, Indore district. It is said that dead animals are thrown in this place. The applicant expressed fear that the solid waste dumping in the trenching ground during the rainy season may cause the pollution of the underground water.

The matter related to dumping of garbage by the roadside in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram, Haryana which was leading to multiple problems, including the health hazard and was causing damage to the environment. The joint committee report, August 28, 2023 stated that during the site inspection heaps of solid waste and other waste were found dumped along the road in the open area.

Order of the Supreme Court in the matter of Islampur Municipal Council Vs Madhukar Shankar Sutar & Others dated 16/01/2024.

The Supreme Court expressed its dissatisfaction with the affidavit of compliance filed by the Islampur Municipal Council pursuant to the order of October 3, 2023. The SC noted that "basic facts such as average daily generation of solid waste in the municipal limits have not been set". Even the capacity of MSW referred to in the affidavit has not been set out.

Report filed by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board on the status of implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 in Mangalpady Grama Panchayat.

The report was filed pursuant to the order of the NGT, December 7, 2023.

Kubanoor, the waste processing facility had a waste processing, processing and recycling unit in Mangalpady Grama Panchayath, Kasargod district owned by the local body. The waste treatment plant had a facility for processing wet waste and dry waste. Though the plant was operational for quite some time, later it became inoperative.

There is non-compliance with the provision of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, the Supreme Court observed after going through the affidavit filed by the corporation. Council for the Bhopal Municipal Corporation sought time to file a better affidavit giving better details and particulars.

Technical approval for the solid waste disposal work for bio mining waste for a total measurement of 22436 cubic meter in Papparapalli was given at an estimate of Rs 160.5 lakhs.The approval was issued by the Chief Engineer, Directorate of Municipal Administration, Chennai.
