Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta Vs State of Haryana & Others dated 07/07/2023.

The matter related to violation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and violation of the guidelines issued by the NGT by the Municipal Corporation, Hisar.

Compliance affidavit on behalf of Forest Department (South) in the matter of Naveen Dagar Vs Govt of NCT of Delhi, June 7, 2023.

The complaint said that garbage collectors collect garbage from a society of Chattarpur Enclave, take it to a forest area near the said society and set the garbage on fire causing air pollution and damaging the environment.

The NGT, January 10, 2023 directed the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, District Forest Officer and District Magistrate, South Delhi to look into the matter and take appropriate remedial and preventive measures.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nirmal Kumar Tripathi Vs Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 31/05/2023.

Report by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi regarding municipal solid waste management in 15 unauthorised colonies in Sabhapur. In these colonies, the garbage is being collected in the dustbin and garbage boat being provided by the Metrro Waste company, the concessionaire.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Lokesh Kumar Khurana Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 09/05/2023.

Grievance in the application was against unscientific dumping of solid waste in Lohiyanagar Awasiya Yojna on Meerut Hapur road near village Ghosipur by Nagar Nigam Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

The report filed by the District Magistrate, Meerut said that no solid waste plant has been installed for processing of fresh solid waste generated in Meerut.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of 'In re: Compliance of Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and other environmental issues' dated 04/05/2023.

The NGT after going through the presentation of Chief Secretary, Bihar was of the opinion that that there are still gaps in generation and processing of waste to the detriment of environment and public health. Data is incomplete as legacy waste figure is only in respect of 26 dump sites. Gap in sewage management is more than 2000 MLD.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sanjay Kumar Vs Union of India & Others dated 03/05/2023. The matter related to unscientific dumping of waste on the land allotted for Solid Waste Management project at village Jhuriwala, Panchkula, Haryana. According to the applicant, Sanjay Kumar, the site in question is 140 meters away from Khol-Hai-Raitan wildlife sanctuary.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kapil Dev & Others Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 02/05/2023.

Grievance in the application is against unscientific handling of solid waste in violation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 in District Ludhiana, Punjab at locations specified in the application.

Report of the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board to the National Green Tribunal dated 28/04/2023. The report was in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order dated February 21, 2023 in Original Application No. 08/2023 in the matter of Mukesh Kumar Tiwari Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others.

The NGT had directed for joint inspection of the municipal solid waste processing facility, Shivri, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Before the Swachha Sarvekshyan Abhiyan-2018 monitoring committee visit - in December 31, 2017, the then chief officer Municipal Council, Faizpur, Jalgaon district "shifted all MSW to main steam of Dhadi river in deep scour depth of flood flow and covered up with the soil borrowed from other location".

The dumped MSW in river bed was covered by barrowing soil. During this three and half rainy season floods the most of the municipal solid waste has been drained down. MSW buried part below scour depth still exists and is polluting the groundwater.
