Bhopal: How major irrigation projects and their successful irrigation management may bring socio economic transformation in the command area would be focused by Narmada Valley Development Authority in tableaux on Republic Day Ceremony at Lal Parade Ground.

Madhya Pradesh will get 18.25 Million Acre Feet (MAF) water from Narmada River, which is lifeline of Madhya Pradesh. An important programme of construction of 29 big, 135 medium and 3 thousand small dams is being implemented to utilize the water for irrigation purposes. So far, 19 medium and one thousand small dams have been constructed.

Fisheries Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi inspected Bargi fish seedlings area in Jabalpur on Thursday. The Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Federation is undertaking the work of fish production in Bargi reservoir. Fisheries Federation managing director Smt. Veena Ghanekar was also present during the inspection.
