Delhi Cabinet on Monday gave its nod for setting up of a 750 MW gasbased power plant at Bamnauli.

Despite no budget allocation for the Bamnauli power project in the current financial year 2010-2011, the Delhi Government is all set to appoint NTPC as Project Management Consultant for the Pragati Power Project phase II (750 mw-800 mw) at Bamnauli.

LUCKNOW: The energy task force (ETF) headed by the chief secretary gave its nod to the establishment of a 1,980 mw power plant in Bargarh (Chitrakoot) on Friday. For this the state government would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bajaj Hindustan.

The ETF also looked into the possibilities of the project's expansion by adding another 1,980 mw.
