New Delhi: In a judgment that could make power tariff more consumer friendly, the Supreme Court has green lighted the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission's authority to cap profit margin on trading of electricity.

The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd (DMICDC) plans to set up two 1,000 Mw gas-based power plants in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 8,000 crore.

MUMBAI: L&T Power Development Company, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), plans to set up coal-based power projects worth 5,000 MW by 2015.

Visakhapatnam, March 8: The north coastal Andhra would soon becoming the epicentre of power projects with as many as 17 projects in private sector and a nuclear power project in the public sector, generating 19,000 mega watts in the next couple of years.
