Farmer Ramanaika of Aladahalli in Birur hobli and his family have converted their four acre wasteland into greenland.

Jungle Lodges & Resorts (JLR), the state-owned eco-tourism company, is expanding its operations in the state to promote eco-tourism. It plans to open five more resorts in select locations, JLR managing director N D Tiwari said.

Yeddyurappa on Wednesday said the Government will release Rs. 80 crore from the revolving fund and purchase paddy in Bellary, Koppal, Raichur, Davangere, Shimoga and Yadgir districts.

The State Government has taken up survey of land with modern equipment in Bellary, Mysore, Hubli, Dharwad and Shimoga districts on a pilot basis. The survey would rectify the anomalies in land records.
