In the petition, the complaint is regarding discharge of domestic waste water and untreated industrial waste water into river Ganga at Varanasi. The Tribunal by order May 24, 2022 had constituted a joint committee with the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board as nodal agency with a direction to submit the report.

The applicant has submitted that 14th Avenue, Gaur City-2, Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh is having a waste collection centre in the basement of I Tower situated in the centre of the project. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board report regarding compliance of the National Green Tribunal order under Original Application No 265/2023 in the matter of Pappu Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh.

The matter related to unscientific dumping of solid waste in village Fatehpur, district Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh on the bank of Upper Canal Division Escape, resulting in the pollution of the canal. The dumped solid waste is also causing air pollution and foul smell.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manoj Kumar Rai Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 12/04/2023. Grievance in the application is against discharge of sewage and solid waste into Katahal drain connected to river Ganga in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.

Grievance in the application is against failure of the Gram Panchayat Gurgawan, block Tilhar, district Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh to scientifically manage wet and dry waste as well as waste from veterinary hospital. Further, it was alleged that such waste was burnt to the detriment of environment.

A period of two months was granted by the NGT to a joint committee to submit a report on allegations of a residential colony developed by M/s. Megasons Company dumping solid waste and discharging untreated sewage in the open.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Adesh Kumar Yadav Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 11/01/2023.

The matter relates to raising of illegal construction at Gata No. 345/1, area 345 sq. mtr, which is a part of flood plain of river Ramganga by M/s Torrent Gas Pvt. Ltd. Any construction on the flood plain zone of the river which is tributary of river Ganga is prohibited, the complainant, Adesh Kumar Yadav pointed out in his application before the NGT.
