NEW DELHI: In a bid to provide relief to seven drought-affected districts of Bundelkhand region and eastern Uttar Pradesh, the National Agricultural Bank for Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs.246 crore.

Farmers and the Greater Noida Authority have reached an agreement for the payment of land compensation at the rate of Rs 850 per sq mt for the land to be acquired for the Peripheral Expressway around the national capital.

Lucknow: After handing over the distribution of electricity in two cities to private hands, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is set to try out the model with the urban water supply as well. Initially, this will be done in one zone each of both Lucknow and Allahabad. The bids are to be invited soon.
