The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday told the Bombay High Court that it has sought police protection for laying down the water pipes to 11 residential buildings in Goregaon that have been without a connection, allegedly, for nearly two years.

Mantri Realty Limited (MRL) and its director Ranjit Rane had moved the Bombay High Court against the alleged inaction on part of the corporation that had left 400 families living in the residential towers high and dry. Their lawyer A M Vernekar had said the buildings had to be provided tanker water and packaged drinking water by the builder.
