Assessment of Kenya's preparedness to disasters caused by natural hazards: floods, drought and disease outbreak

This report details the findings of the study on Kenya's preparedness for floods, drought and disease outbreaks – human and animal. It looks at preparedness at the national and subnational level focusing on Mandera and Migori counties. This study began in March 2016 and forms part of a study that assesses the UK Department for International Development (DFID)’s response to the El Niño event in 2015 in Kenya and ties in with an analysis of the political economy of decision-making on emergency preparedness in the country.
