The government of Denmark reiterated its commitment to Bhutan with multilateral funds to support efforts within climate change, environmental protection and others at the Biennial High Level Consultation on Bilateral Cooperation between Bhutan and Denmark on December 3 in Copenhagen, Denmark. ENVIRONMENT
The government of Denmark reiterated its commitment to Bhutan with multilateral funds to support efforts within climate change, environmental protection and others at the Biennial High Level Consultation on Bilateral Cooperation between Bhutan and Denmark on December 3 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
LAND, AGRICULTURE, GRAZING LANDS AND ANIMAL CARE
Representatives from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka met for the two-day meeting that ended in Thimphu to review vegetable adaptive trials conducted in their respective countries.
MINING
The mineral development policy, which is expected to be out early next year, will bring about an extensive overhaul in the way mining is done in Bhutan.
HEALTH AND OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS
The health and agriculture ministers assured commitment to strengthen ‘one health’ approach in Bhutan and in the region at the South Asia regional ‘one health’ symposium that ended in Paro.
ENERGY
A total of 77,030 rural households in Bhutan, will get 100 units of free electricity, with the recent approval of the consumer classification in tariff implementation plan.
