Taking stock of Copenhagen: outcomes on REDD+ and rights

When parties and observers arrived in Copenhagen last December (2009), for two weeks of intense negotiations, it was already clear that no legally binding agreement was expected to be
agreed upon, and there were many outstanding issues that required further work and negotiations. Nevertheless, a certain level of optimism surrounded the negotiations on REDD+. Forest Peoples Programme has produced this information note at the request of some Indigenous Peoples
