Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ravi Kumar Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 09/12/2020 regarding grant of Environmental Clearance (EC) in respect of sand/morrum/mining project for Yamuna river at Khand No. 1, 2,3 and 4, village Bendakhand, tehsil and district Banda, Uttar Pradesh. According to the appellant, four individual leases form a cluster and need to be evaluated as such instead of being evaluated separately in violation of Sustainable Sand Mining Guidelines and judgment of the Supreme Court.

Report by Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) in Original Application No. 87 of 2020 (Kiran Pal Rana Vs Union of India & Others) dated 27/11/2020. The matter related to illegal sand mining activities in district Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.

Joint Committee report submitted to the National Green Tribunal in response to the NGT order of July 15, 2020 in Original Application No. 191 of 2015 filed by S. P. Muthuraman. The matter related to illegal sand mining on the banks of Thamirabarani river and discharge of illegal trade effluents into the river by the nearby industries and workshops. The pollution was also caused on account of discharge of untreated sewage into the river.

The NGT October 14 directed a fresh district survey report (DSR) for sand mining in Banka district of Bihar.

An application filed in the NGT said that an interim district survey report (DSR) was prepared for sand mining in Banka district in the year 2018 but that was never finalized.
