This publication on the conservation and management of India’s lakes and wetlands, as a follow-up of the 12th World Lake Conference.  This publication will serve to be useful reference material for policymakers, implementing agencies, environmentalists and those of us who enjoy the diversity and beauty of India’s water bodies.

Supported by the MacArthur Foundation, ICIMOD undertook a series of research activities together with partners in the Eastern Himalayas from 2007 to 2008 to provide a preliminary assessment of the impacts and vulnerability of this region to climate change.
