Countries are not complying with the UN Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries. It's time some changes were made, say Tony Pitcher, Daniela Kalikoski, Ganapathiraju Pramod and Katherine Short.

Safe conduct? twelve years fishing under the UN code

This report evaluates the compliance of 53 countries with the requirements of Article 7 of the UN Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, published after all-nation agreement in 1995.
