The primary aim of this study is to prioritize investment required for scaling up climate-smart agriculture (CSA) technologies across different districts of Telangana state, which is in the semi-arid region of India.

This briefing note summarizes the key findings of the “Scaling up climate-smart agriculture in the Telangana State” project, carried out by the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics and partners, between 1st January 2016 and 31st December 2017.

The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) came into existence after the enactment of the Parliament Act 'National Rural Employment Guarantee Act' (2005) in September 2005.
