The Rajshahi City Corporation on Friday launched a clean-up drive to dispose of garbage aiming to prevent possible water logging during the rainy season.
With the financial assistance of the Asian Development Bank, the drive was launched through removal of wastes from a drain in the Ganakpara area in the presence of Rajshahi mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton.
Participants in a seminar on Friday called on the imams across the country to create awareness among the common people of HIV/AIDS to fight the deadly disease.
