Indian gas companies may soon boast their first gas swap arrangement that could slash transportation costs by more than 50 per cent.

April 30: The state government has lost the first ever city gas project to a lesser known Central agency, Bhagyanagar Gas Limited.
The BGL grabbed the project even after the petroleum giant Reliance Indu-stries Limited (RIL) had bid on behalf of the state government-owned Krishna Godavari Gas Network Limited (KGGNL).
